Welcome to Convict, Inc.

Convict, Inc. is the brainchild of Robert Rosso, a lifetime inmate currently housed at FCI Butner, and is a way for the general public to peer into the minds of convicted felons through their art and writing. Convict, Inc. is not just a pen-pal or social website; it is a place for Convict members to post artwork, photos, poetry, lyrics or whatever happens to be on their minds.

Of course, ConvictInc.com is also meant as a way to connect inmates with people on the outside. Being incarcerated does NOT mean giving up ones humanity and, whether or not an inmate is permanently incarcerated, they need and seek the same the same things any person does: friendship, lasting relationships and, many times, just someone to talk to and share ideas with (in some cases, it is a lack of these things that got them where they are).

For many inmates, mail is the single bright point they may have in their day, and many may have no one on the outside that cares about them. Don't underestimate the positive impact you may have on an inmate's life; a wealth of positive influences may help them return as constructive members of society. Even if you do not wish to have an on-going dialog, a word of praise for their art can do a lot to encourage them and demonstrate how they have made a POSITIVE impact on the world, making all the difference on their road to rehabilitation.

Of course, as in anything you do, discretion should be exercised in your communications with any inmate. We recommend:

  1. Using a PO Box to communicate and not giving out your street address
  2. NEVER giving out any personal information such as credit card or social security numbers
  3. if you would like to simply provide feedback on an inmates work, sending a message`electronically

We encourage all of our visitors to create an account, free of charge. While non-members may browse the site and contact all of our inmate members directly via traditional mail, creating an account will provide you these additional benefits:

  1. you may submit comments or mail to convicts electronically via the website, anonymously, if you wish (electronic submissions are sent to the inmates twice per month)
  2. you will be able to create a "Favorites" list of convicts you discover whose art or postings you would like to follow
  3. you may choose a particular member account as your start page, so their profile is automatically the first you see
  4. you may choose to receive a monthly electronic newsletter highlighting members of Convict, Inc. and related topics

Please be assured that we hold your privacy in high regard. As such, at no time will your information be shared nor sold to a third-party, unless legally required (our full privacy policy may be found here).
